NEW BDCERT from Bangladesh has been approved as APCERT General Member as of 18th December 2008.

2008 BDCERT organize a conference & workshop on Internet Security jointly by BDCERT (Computer Emergency Response Team for Bangladesh), ISPAB (ISP Association of Bangladesh), BPC (Business Promotion Council of Bangladesh) and JPCERT (Japanese CERT).

BDCERT will be highly glorified if you could spare some of your valuable time as a distinguished delegate for the Conference as this event will be highly focused on policies of Security, Incident handling and mitigation techniques. We would also like to request for your relevant resource personnel from your organization for the Workshop which will be held at the same venue on 5th and 6th of November. There will be a very sophisticated hands on training on Incident handling, analysis and response, network monitoring and other security issues that are quite related to National and individual cyber security and mitigation techniques. The Conference and Workshop will principally be addressed by world renowned Security Experts from JPCERT.

2007 JPCERT CC visit was made with MyCERT to further understand the newly established Bangladesh CERT (BDCERT). BDCERT is an initiative through voluntarily basis of members of the Internet Service providers Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB). Mr. Keisuke Kamata (Group Manager, Information Security Analyst) , Mr. Kenji Murakami (Director of Business Management) from JPCET and Maslina Daud (Head, Security Management & Best Practices), Mr. Mohd Nasir Che Embee (Intursion Analyst) from MYCERT was present in the meeting. BDCERT had indicated to become a member of APCERT and had submitted their application form and relevant information to JPCERT/CC where it will be processed by the APCERT Steering Committee.
